[KYOTO, JAPAN] 12 Hours in Kyoto

So in 12 hours, I was only able to visit 3 sites in Kyoto. One day wasn’t enough to go around Kyoto yet I enjoyed getting lost until such time that my feet ached. Going to Kyoto is literally a walkathon. I was lost 3x and worst, I lost my borrowed ICOCA card in Arashiyama that still has 2000 Yen credits.

Since my first stop is Arashiyama, I went through the Keihan Railways

1st Stop: Arashiyama

How to get there from Osaka:

    • Drop at Katsura Station and transfer to the Hankyu Arashiyama Line for Arashiyama. The one-way trip takes about 20 minutes and costs 220 yen. Hankyu Arashiyama Station is located on the opposite side of the river, about a 5-10 minute walk from central Arashiyama.
    • Free admission
